Program – David M. Kulick, M.D., Ph.D.

Rome Rotary welcomed Dr. David Kulick who joined Rome Memorial Hospital in September of 2009 and who is a Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon.  Dr. Kulick talked about the different types of lung cancer, how it can travel and the importance of early detection.  Symptoms can include cough, chest pain, hoarseness, weight loss, shortness of breath and wheezing.  He also went into the different methods used to treat it such as surgery or non-operative measures such as chemotherapy or radiation.  He urged Rotarians to leave with this take home message:  Stop Smoking, Stop Smoking, Stop Smoking! Thank you Dr. Kulick for your time and a great program!
